It's official!

Today is Mon and Brad's 4 day wedding celebration is over! What a special event! I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to be the Mom of such special kids.

For my last birthday I received a great Betty Crocker spoon and apron from Kristi. It's the official spoon because Kristi knows Betty personally. I just wanted to let
kristi and Betty both know how much I love using this spoon. Thank you both!

What have I been doing?

Today is the last day of our Spring break...it's cold and does not feel like spring.
After our traditional Easter brunch of aebelskivers and bloody maryies, Bob and I caught a flight to Vegas to see the Cirque de Soleil show "LOVE". It is a musical interpretation of the music of the greatest group of all time and it was fantastic!

A Plethera of color

Recently my son blogged about gray skies and yellow leaves...........ahhh fall! I have decided that one of the best ways to appreciate the beauty of fall is to deliberatlely notive the changing color as I turn each corner. Every street has a sign of the season, pumplins on the porch, radient foliage or even piles of leaves in the street waiting to be jumped into by some kid.
When our boys were young and their job was to rake leaves, I'm sure their only goal was to get a pile big enough to jump into!

I love fall.

They're engaged!

Last Friday night while they were sipping champagne at Kristi's favorite winery in California, Bradley proposed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are so happy for them. It is so wonderful to see two people so much in love with each other. Their happiness is infectious.They are going to plan a summer 08 wedding. Congratulations to them!

First call from Nick!

He made it to the top of Mt. Katadin and so the hike begins. He says all is well and the mt. was a real challenge.So far he needs a different sleeping bag and a pair of crocks. He met a guy on the bus and they are hiking together at this point.

Back on the homefront, Michael and I spend yesterday morning packing some new dehydrated meals for him. Breakfast Spuds was the first and since we hd not had breakfast we tried it out! Very tasty!
